SUMMER TIME. Yes, I just went all High School Musical on you.
It's May?!? Is anyone else having trouble believing that? I just finished my college finals week and am now officially a college junior. Ahh, it's crazy, but that's a story for another time.
I posted on my blog about a month ago with some new updates, but many of those things have already changed. I'm sorry for the lack of any definite information. I'm trying to keep you all updated as I get new details pertaining my books and upcoming releases.
New Information and Questions:
1. I hired an editor. A different editor than the one I was going hire previously. However, this new editor is booked until June 1st. I'm going to send him my manuscript at that time and it should be done in a few weeks. This means that Redeeming Lainey won't be out until the end of June.
It does mean that the book will be in really good shape and that I won't have to do any re-edits later like I've had to do with the Prophesized Series.
2. I'm also in talks with a formatter, so the print version of Redeeming Lainey will look really nice and should be available shortly after the e-book version.
3. Due to some large expenses coming out this summer, I had to push my South Africa trip to next summer. Because of this, I can work on the last Prophesized novel this summer. Since this book is basically comprised of a lot of short stories, it won't take as long to write as some of my other novels. You all have been so patient with me these last few months, so I'll probably give you all the first "chapter" some time by the end of May. :)
This is where you come in:
I know most of what happens to all the characters after the battle in Reaching Retribution, and I know the major events I want to write BUT I also want your opinions.
What are some things you want or are looking forward to in this last book?
4. This summer, I'm also going to create some swag pieces for all the Prophesized Books and Redeeming Lainey. I've already bought some supplies, but I'm wondering what "swag" pieces interest you. I don't want to create a lot of one item and have no one to give it to.
That's all I wanted to talk about right now. I feel really bad, because by this time last year, I had already published two books. I haven't gotten anything out in 2014 yet :( I'm sorry for all the confusing information I've given recently, but I hope these books will be worth the wait.
Thank you for visiting my blog and I hope you have a great weekend!
Kaitlyn you should show all of the mage family in their everyday life. Maybe you could have a prologue about life and his tribe
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to find out what will happen to the Prophesied Series-neither can my brother... I brought him over to the dark side-and I am sooo looking forward to the weddings and some more Olive
ReplyDeleteI would love to see the other weddings and colton and Ryanna start a family together to make her vision become true. I love Ryanna and colton.
ReplyDeleteCotton and Ryanna show their life together. Kids white picket fence.....
ReplyDeleteIt would be nice to hear more about Natalie and Liam. I love your writing and I think it's always encouraging to see young, aspiring writers. Best of luck in your future works!
ReplyDeleteI would like to know what happens to all the minor characters, like Violet and Tom (hes not so minor but...) and Colin and everyone!! I fully love your books and fully appreciate you writing endings for everyone (its needed). Thankyou for writing such amazing books! No others live up to expectation now! THANKYOU THANKYOU THANKYOU!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love this series so much! I have read it countless times. This series is sooooo good!! I love your writing!! For the next installment, I would like for Larkin to find a soulmate. I want to see more weddings. I want more of Natalie and Liam and Incendia and Bradgen and Lily and Logan. I would like to see weddings. A lot of weddings. I just want to see a happy ending for all of the characters, not just Ryanne and Colton's because I've connected to all of the characters even the minor ones.
