And a cover reveal.
It has been too long. I'm truly sorry about that. College has been a little hectic recently. Actually, no. It really hasn't. My life has just been a little hectic recently. I KEEP GETTING HURT. Seriously. It's been a week and I haven't gotten injured yet, and that is a record for me this semester. (I hope I didn't just jinx that.) I'm still recovering from previous injuries though. It's definitely been a long few weeks.
Anyway, I've actually been working on Eternal Endings recently, and I promised all my readers on Facebook that I would post a teaser today. I really only have two stories that need to be finished in this book. Incendia's is becoming way longer than expected and is a little tricker to write then some of the other stories. It shouldn't take me long, but I do have some tests and quizzes, plus two presentations coming up, so I'm not sure how much time I'll have to write this week unfortunately. I really miss being able to write everyday. :(
Here is this week's teaser. It is from David's perspective.
This is unedited and subject to change before publication.
“What
do you think?” The wooden post is starting to dig into my back, but I don’t
want to make any sudden movements because moments like this are few and far
between with her.
“I like
not knowing whether or not we’re meant to be together,” she tells me and
stares up at me with her blue eyes. “The unknown excites me.” Emma smiles and
starts playing with the edge of the pillowcase. “Because even with the unknown,
I know what I feel, and I know that I’m not being clouded by what the Fates are
playing.”
“Emma,”
I say quietly. I can feel a small smile playing on my lips at her words.
“Wait,
let me finish,” she tells me. “When I’m around you, I don’t feel like I have to
hide who I am. I don’t feel like you expect anything. You make me feel safe.
Even though I’m sad, I can tell that you’re helping me.”
I remain quiet after
she finishes to see if she’s actually done yet.
Emma sighs and opens her mouth
to speak again. “Whenever I think about the future, you’re always in it. You
big sloth-fearing, pizza-loving guy.”
That
brings out a full on smile now. I know how much it took for Emma to
express all that. When I don’t say anything, she starts fidgeting slightly on
the bed. Biting her bottom lip, she looks up at me, waiting.
“Say something,
please."
“I’m also afraid of geese,” I tell her.
Also, because it's been a while since I posted something on my blog, I decided that I would also reveal the cover for Eternal Endings this week. This was, like all my other covers, designed by the amazing Victoria Faye from Whit&Ware.

That's all I have for today. Again, sorry for my random disappearances. I promise I'm working really hard to get this book done soon! I hope it will be worth the wait. :|
