Dear Readers,
I know what you are probably asking yourself. Where is Kaitlyn? Did she fall off the face of the Earth? (I think the better question is, did she actually do the impossible and find a way to fall off the face of Earth?) Did she discover Narnia? Were her numerous attempts to find Peter Pan successful, and she's now living blissfully in Neverland where she doesn't have to age anymore or join the real world?
The truth of the matter is that none of those are true. I'm still on this Earth, looking for Narnia, and wishing for Neverland. I just didn't have a whole lot of stuff to say on the blog until now, so this is probably going to be a long post.
I finished my junior year of college a few weeks ago, and since then, I've been working on a lot of bookish things. I've been in constant contact with editors, formatters, and designers because I'm in the process of creating physical copies of all the books in the Prophesized Series. At the moment, BlackMoon Beginnings and Scorching Secrets have been professionally edited and formatted. Descending Darkness is with the editor right now, and I should get it back in a week or two, and then I'll send Reaching Retribution. My cover designer is in the process of creating full-wrap versions. I can make paperback versions soon. They are actually coming, I promise! :)

Also, since I've been out of school, I've had more time to write and work on some other projects. I've edited Eternal Endings a few times, and it is currently with a few beta-readers. Once I get it back, I will update it and publish it. My goal is to have the book out by the end of May! Since I haven't given a teaser in a long time, I thought I would do that now: This is from Incendia's POV, and is subject to change before publication.
“The road,” I whisper to him.Bragden laughs, but does turn his attention back to the road in front of us. While turned away, I watch him for a few moments. I recognized his attractiveness when I first met him—the day he came into his magic. Now, he’s more than just hot. I’ve gotten to know him the past few months, and he’s so much more than an attractive face.I think I might be falling in love with him.My free hand goes up to the necklace around my neck with his pendant. My life completely changed when Ryanne saved me, but, as mushy as this is going to sound, I think it fully began when he gave me this pendant. I didn’t know it then, but everything started falling together when I met that misfit group of mages. I never thought I would be thankful for a failed plan.

| Coming Soon! |
Also, I have been writing. I've been working on another contemporary novel. I'm about 50K into this book, so I only have 30-40K more to write. If I stick to a writing schedule, I can finish this book in about two weeks. I have the first ten chapters written and the last three...I just have to figure out everything in between. I don't think it'll take too long to finish. Once that one is done, I'm going to start working on the second book in a new series I started. My goal is to get the contemporary novel and the first book in the Guardians of the Chosen series published this year.
To finish this post, I want to thank all my readers. It's been a weird few weeks for me. I've gone back and forth with my writing decisions. I've had moments where I wanted to give up and be done with it all, but I've gotten more messages from readers lately than usual. I don't know how you all knew I was going through some stuff, but if you have contacted me in the last month, I must thank you. I responded to all the messages I received, but I thought would thank you here too. As you all probably know by now, I struggle with some self-esteem/confidence issues, so it's hard to be in a position where I am constantly judged. I have some very dedicated readers, who, though they don't know it, have helped make sure I don't stay in a low place for very long. You all have helped me in ways I can't even begin to explain. If you have contacted me at all within the last two years, I owe you so much. From the bottom of my heart:
THANK YOU.
Sincerely yours,
Kaitlyn Hoyt
(See what I did there, I made this blog post like a letter. I felt so creative when I thought of that, and I fear it fell flat. I hope you all have a great day either way!)

*squeals* I CANNOT WAIT FOR THE LAST ONE AND AND AND THE PHYSICAL COPIES. 🎉💥
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited, but do you know when exactly it will released because *sigh, even though I live in Australia, and it will be late,* a date on my lonely calendar would be nice.
