I've gotten a few emails recently from readers who download from iTunes, Kobo, and Sony asking about when they'll be able to read Descending Darkness. I got news today that it was accepted into the Premium catalog and will be shipped to those retailers soon. It should be available there within the next few days. It took longer than I was anticipating and I'm very sorry for that. I know what to do differently for the fourth book so hopefully you'll all be able to get it the same day as everyone else!
Also, in between editing, I've started working on a few bonus POVs. I have an idea for one that I really like, but it's kind of mean, so I'm not going to give too many details for that. I need to make sure that I can actually write it before I say any more. I promised you all another POV once Descending Darkness came out--just know that I am working on one!

1. I've been thinking about making some print versions of my book. I've had a few people ask about them before, but I didn't think it was right for that time. I'm just wondering if I were to create print versions, if anyone would be interested in a copy? I'd sign them and everything :) Let me know!
2. Also, swag. I want to create some swag pieces for this book series. I've been looking into making some bookmarks, but besides bookmarks, is there anything you'd be interested in? I'd give them away for free, so it can't be too expensive to make! (I am a poor college student after all.) Also, I'm not that creative...so bookmarks are all that I've come up with right now. Ideas would be helpful!
3. My next book after the Prophesized Series is going to be a mature YA contemporary novel. It's nothing like any of my other books though. Would it be totally absurd for me to include the Prologue for that book at the end of book four? Is that something you'd be interested in reading? If not, that's totally fine and I'll just release it at a different time.
P.S. I seriously love this contemporary novel. I think it's my favorite book I've ever written. I'm really nervous for you all to read it. Even if everyone hates it, I'm pretty proud of this book and I'm not even done writing it.

4. Last question: Does it bother anyone that I use a lot of GIFs in my blog posts? If it does, I'll stop using them so often and find something else to use.

Um I like the atucal book idea and the bookmarks would be cool and I don't know how to or how pricey but it seems like a lot of things website and fictional chacters have computer wallscreens. Prologue won't know till I read it and thanks for no more cliffhanger :D
ReplyDeleteMy opinion. Don't worry about what people think. You have a wonderful gift. Your books are amazing and I am sure whatever you write will be as amazing at the first three. I will take a bookmark with my print copy. I don't think it would be absurd to include a prologue, but it might also depends on the ending. If the ending will make me cry, then I probably will just want to sit there and cry.

ReplyDeleteI love the book mark idea, you could do bottons/badges, and those rubber wrist bands depending on what your wanting to give away/sell.
I think if you gave a few blank pages between the end of the last book and prolog it would be good then we can deal with the fact the book is over and before reading the teaser few the new book :) I like the GIF's so don't worry.
I can't wait to read the final book however I think you should write about ryanne and colton forever! I don't want their story to ever end!!! lol

These books have been my fav series and im an addict... so I would love to have it in paper form cause I can't have my phone at school. Ughhhhhhhh!!! And as for the swag u could do posters, stickers and even duct tape. Um a big fan of the tape.... and u should never doubt yourself cause ur an amazingful writer and me and my friend literally bought it and no stop read it. I love ur books!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThese are all amazing ideas. I love the idea of book marks...I know for sure that I would get one and I'm sure others would as well. I love the Gifs as well, it's creative and different to other blogs which makes it special. If you put the prologue of your next book at the end of bk.4, that would be fine with me. Printed copies would be AMAZING! Honestly, I would love a paperback copy of your books!

I love all your ideas especially the book marks and I would SO buy a poster. It would be nice to have it in paper form cuz then I would display it in my bookcase and well I'm the only one out of all my friends that have a kindle so I could let them borrow it and get them obsessed as well xD
ReplyDeletePrint version of your books would be awesome! Actually I wouldn't mind having one book with all four stories in it. As for swag...there are so many options! Postcards, magnets, calendar magnets featuring your book covers would be awesome. A bookmark would be awesome too! I totally think you should put an excerpt of your next book in the back of book four. I like know what the author has lined up next. the gifs are cute and display your personality, don't give them up for anybody!

ReplyDeleteRight now, I don't have an official date. I'm hoping for sometime between Thanksgiving and Christmas. I haven't released the title for the book yet either, but will within the upcoming month or two.
