1. It starts with an idea. "Once upon a time..."

2. Then you write like your life depends on it while the idea is still fresh in your mind.

3. Writer's block at mile marker 50. LONGEST. DETOUR. OF. YOUR. LIFE.

4. Back on track: Inspiration strikes again.

5. It has you in its grasp and it's not letting go.

6. You write a sad scene and cry your eyes out, because you feel what your characters are going through.

7. You laugh manically when he or she overcomes an obstacle, because you're so excited for them.

8. Then, you look around to make sure no one caught you doing that. You don't want to appear crazy.

9. The ideas keep coming and sleep is no longer important anymore, so you stay up until the wee hours of the morning writing.

10. The end is near, but you're not ready for it.

11. So, you start a new book.

12. After a mob of close friends threatens you to kill you, you "attempt" to finish it.

13. You're done! *Throws confetti and does a happy dance* Now, you have to edit.

14. So, you write another book!
