Music Monday + Teaser Tuesday on a Wednesday

Because I really just fail. At everything.

Music Monday:

I've really failed with Music Monday posts lately. I haven't posted any of the music I've been listening to while working on Faith When Falling in a long time, so here's just a sample of what I've been using to help me set certain scenes.

1. Down With Me: X Ambassadors

2. One More Time: Marian Hill

3. Wash Away: Coasts

4. Ghost: Chelsea Lankes

5. Bloodsport: Raleigh Ritchie

Teaser Tuesday

Just a quick update before the teaser. I only have like 10K more to write in Faith When Falling. I've been struggling lately to piece all the remaining sections together. I know exactly what to write, but the words are just not coming to me. It's extremely frustrating right now. I'M SO CLOSE TO FINISHING. It's driving me insane.

In other words though, I saw the first draft for the cover and it's soooo pretty. I'm so excited to share it with all of you when it is officially finished. :)

Also, for anyone wondering, this is a New Adult Contemporary Novel.

This is unedited and subject to change before publication.

“Gemmalynn,” he repeats my name. My stomach twists into knots at the sound of his voice.
“Why are you fighting this?” he asks when my eyes connect with him. “Me? What are you afraid of?”
Nothing this summer has turned out like I planned, and while I’m thankful for the break in the routine, I know what’s going to happen once this summer is over.
“Getting more scars,” I whisper, hoping that he’ll remember our earlier conversation. This is all moving so fast, but it’s getting hard to fight it…and I don’t know if I want to fight it anymore.
“I’m not going to hurt you,” he whispers as his hand starts moving up my arm again, drawing swirling patterns until he reaches my shoulder. Goosebumps follow his touch. “You can trust me.”
“I don’t know if I can trust myself,” I lean forward just a little more, moving my hands from his back and resting them on his chest. My thumbs moves across his skin, and from beneath my palm, I can feel his heart beating just as crazily as mine.
“What does that mean?” His hand glides up until it’s pressed against the side of my neck, his thumb moving across my jawline. I tilt my head up just a little more, but my gaze shifts to the hand on his chest. A low breath escapes my lips as he touches me, and an unfamiliar lightness pushes its way into my mind, clouding my thoughts.
“I don’t know,” I mumble as his other hand moves to my waist. I exhale loudly this time when he presses his entire palm against the small of my back, causing me to arch my back slightly and press even closer to him. “I can’t think straight when you touch me.”
“Then don’t think.”

Again, sorry for failing so much with my teasers. I do start classes again on Monday, but I promise I will try harder to remain consistent from now on!
