Teaser...Wednesday. Oops.

Wednesday, July 15, 2015
Yesterday was a pretty long day. I was away from my house almost all day, so I completely spaced that it was Tuesday. The Paper Towns Get Lost Get Found Tour came to Indianapolis yesterday, so my best friend, sister, and I all went to that even though I hadn't read Paper Towns. (I read it while waiting in line. Haha) I got to see John Green, Nat Wolff, and Halston Sage and watch a 19 minute clip from the movie. Despite being outside in the heat for over 5 hours and getting a sunburn on only the right half of my body, it was a pretty good day. :)

Though it's a day late, here is a teaser from Faith When Falling. Gemmalynn, the main character, is a writer (that sentence won't be as random when you read the teaser below).

This is unedited and subject to change before publication.

Let me know if you have any trouble reading any of the words! I hope you enjoyed the teaser. I've just passed 80K words in this novel, but still have a few more chapters to write. It looks like this book will be similar in length to Redeeming Lainey, which is my longest book to date. I'll let you know more information about publishing when I finish the first draft!

Music Monday #3

Monday, July 13, 2015
I hope everyone had a great weekend! I went to a Train, The Fray, and Matt Nathanson concert last night and it was awesome. Surprisingly, I'm not including any of those artists in this list. I'll do that some other time!

Here is what I've been listening to lately:

1. Incomplete: James Bay

If I could marry a song, I would marry "Incomplete by James Bay. I just discovered James Bay like a week ago, and I  love him so much. If you haven't heard of him, you really should check him out. I wish someone would have introduced me to him sooner.

2. It's All Coming Back to Me Now: Jeremy Jordan

Jeremy Jordan and a Celine Dion song. It doesn't get much better than that. Jeremy Jordan is a Broadway star who has recently started acting in movies and television shows. He was in Smash, Joyful Noise, The Last 5 Years, and will be in the upcoming CBS show Supergirl. Anyway, I've had a crush on him for a while now. Go and listen to his version of "Santa Fe" from the Newsies musical. It is amazing. It is on my bucket list to someday go see a Broadway music. It will happen.

I haven't really been writing to this lately, but I listen to it all the time, so I thought I would share. You're welcome. I absolutely love the 5:15 part of this video. <3 <3 <3

3. Your Hideaway: Josh Groban

GUYS. I'm not sure words can even begin to explain how much I love Josh Groban. I think I dedicated one of my books to him. Either that, I just thanked him for his beautiful musical. Yesterday, July 12th marked the first time (and only time so far) I saw Josh Groban in concert and it was amazing. I have tickets (3RD ROW TICKETS) to see his show in October and I will definitely cry. I might fangirl so hard, I die. It is definitely a possibility. I've written a few scenes in various books to this song. I just *girly sigh* love him so much.

Faith When Falling: Teaser(ish) Tuesday

Tuesday, July 7, 2015
I'm having some difficulties findings small teasers for this book already. Instead of giving you a normal teaser for today, I thought that I would make my Pinterest board for this book public. It gives you a little idea of what to expect for this novel.

On the board, you see some of the characters in this novel. This book is told from Gemmalynn's POV. There is a picture of her at the bottom of the board. There are a few more characters in this novel, besides Gemmalynn, Owen, and Levi, but I haven't found pictures for them yet. I'll keep adding to it as I get further along.

Let me know what you think :)

Music Monday #2

Monday, July 6, 2015
I hope everyone who celebrated had a great 4th of July weekend. I spent my weekend working on Faith When Falling and spending time with my family. It was a good time. Since it's Monday, it's time for another Music Monday! This is where you are going to realize that my music taste is pretty random. I listen to a little bit of everything.

Here's what I've been listening to this week:

1. City Dove: Tori Kelly

I absolutely love this song right now. Tori Kelly reminds me of Sara Bareilles, and if you've read ANY of the books in the Prophesized Series, you know I love Sara Bareilles. This song is just really good. It's my favorite on her album.

2. Stilettos: Kelsea Ballerini

Occasionally, I go through country kicks and I found Kelsea Ballerini while on one of those. I'm obsessed with her debut album. I relate to almost every song on that CD right now. Like, it's my life. I jam out to this in my car. I totally sing and dance to every song without a care in the world about being caught. One time, I was getting really into XO while I driving down the interstate and three of the four passengers in the car in front of me all turned around and watched me. That was a little embarrassing, but I didn't stop. Haha

3. The Fool: Ryn Weaver

I actually wanted to share "New Constellations," but I couldn't find that song on YouTube. I've been listening to this one too, and I really like this acoustic version. Ryn Weaver's voice is very unique, and if you haven't heard her before, you should check her out!
What songs have you been listening to lately? I'd love some new suggestions :)
